This Policy explains how Zoolots LLC — operating under its brand and trade name ZooLots — collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our websites, apps, and auction services. It works alongside our Terms of Service.

What we collect

• Account details — name, email, mobile phone number, ZIP code, public bidder handle, and password (authentication is handled by Google Firebase; we do not store your password).
• Auction activity — bids, watchlist, orders, and pickup appointments.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe; ZooLots never receives or stores your full card number.
• Usage data — IP address, device, and interactions via cookies.

How we use it

To run the auction, process payments and sales tax, send account and transaction notifications (email, push, and — if you provide a number — text), provide support, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information or share it with data brokers. We share it only with the providers that run the platform: Stripe (payments), Google Firebase/Firestore (authentication, hosting, data), Resend (email), and Twilio (SMS), plus where required by law or in a business transfer.

Text messages (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number, we use it to send account and transaction texts (won-lot, pickup, appointment, payment alerts) via Twilio. This is not a marketing program; message frequency varies and message/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The categories above exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Payments

Card details are handled directly by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 processor. ZooLots never sees your full card number.

Cookies & analytics

We use a first-party cookie to remember your sign-in. Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4) only fire when you accept the cookie banner.

Retention, security & your rights

We keep information while your account is active and as required for tax and transaction records. We protect it with encryption in transit and trusted processors. You may manage notification preferences (or reply STOP for texts), and request access to or deletion of your information by emailing us; we honor verified requests within 30 days, subject to recordkeeping obligations on completed transactions. The Services are for adults 18+.
